Trek 8: Starting from St. Katherine or Mt. Katharina (1-2 days)

Wadi Zawatina and Nasb are the two main gateways to the region’s attractions, the first leading to Jebel Umm Shaumar and Wadi Isla, the second to the oasis of Ein Kid. You could actually make a big circuit, starting via one of these routes and finishing via the other. Wadi Zawatina and Nasb are often approached by car, which might be a good option if you want to save a day. You could also walk to Wadi Zawatina, either from the town of St. Katherine or from the top of Mt. Katharina, but both ways the first day involves quite uneventful stretches. The walking route to Nasb from St. Katherine via Wadi Abu Ksheib is more interesting.
